Infant and Mobile Infant Program!
At Bright Foundations, we nurture your infant's development through engaging social interactions. Infants will benefit from activities with nurturing caregivers such as reading board books, singing, and peeka boo. In our infant rooms, your baby's needs are priority. Infants will sleep and feed according to their individual needs. To aid in your infant's development, we will provide tummy time, safe exploration, and opportunities to manipulate rattles, blocks, or other toys.
Our infant and mobile infant rooms each use a small refrigerator to safely store breastmilk, prepared formula, and infant foods. All bottles and food storage containers must be labeled with the date stored, be sealed tightly, and contain the child's first and last name. Bottles may not be warmed in a microwave as this poses a risk for injury to the child. Children are not required to wean from breastmilk at any specific time. All infants must be held when bottle fed; propping bottles is not allowed.
We use safe sleep practices at Bright Foundations. We place all infants to sleep on their backs and do not allow blankets, stuffed animals, or other items in the crib. If an infant arrives sleeping in a carseat, we must move the infant to a crib. We must also move an infant to a crib if they fall asleep in a swing, bouncy seat, or other "container". We encourage all families to follow safe sleep practices at home as well. Consistency in sleep practices will help your infant's comfort level during the transition between home and daycare.
